Google New – New stuff from Google
Google have launched the imaginatively titled ‘Google new‘ – a useful place to find out about new products, features etc from the search giant. Worth a quick look if you use search/gmail/docs/maps etc etc etc
Google can read your mind..
But some of the results can be a little random. Does this badger remind you of Jesus?? Bizarre but it made me smile. http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2009/nov/19/google-suggest-guessing-thoughts
Google Wave App Store

Google Wave is coming
Time will tell how this will be accepted and rolled out but I’m sure once we’re allowed to use it all will come clear. In the meantime there’s more info on it here: http://mashable.com/2009/05/28/google-wave/
TinEye – Reverse image search engine
An unnamed client once asked me ‘why should I pay for an image for an ad campaign, can’t you just get it free off the web? No one will ever know!’. Now I’m speculating here but in these times where pennies are being pinched, I can imagine this is a conversation that isn’t unfamiliar to agency folk. Next time it happens – send them a link to this site: http://www.tineye.com/
To quote the company: ‘TinEye is a reverse image search engine. You can submit an image to TinEye to find out where it came from, how it is being used, if modified versions of the image exist, or to find higher resolution versions. TinEye is the first image search engine on the web to use image identification technology rather than keywords, metadata or watermarks’. Nice.
